I still want them both, but here's what I would have done, if I were calling the shots. No, I think 3 is too different from 4 for a bundle to really work. That’s why record combos on THPS 1+2 are 90% hopping around the map. Those two things completely changed the way people play. Almost every decent THPS player back in the day had autokick turned off. Instead of tapping square to control your speed, the game starts and you just go flying forwards. They also took out the ability to turn off autokick. It gave you a second “hidden” balance meter for massive combos. The non-special darkslide for example was more than just a move. While they left in the double tap combos (hidden combos,) they took out their main purpose which is manipulating the balance meter. They tweaked the engine and took out the fun on the rereleases. The new THPS 1+2 desperately needs an update anyway. Maybe they could add them as an update to 1+2. They could just do the levels and repaint Moscow to be something else. I played 4 recently and it’s a drag sitting through all the cut scenes. That’s probably a good thing though to get rid of the stories.
